Hand Walkout to Plank

The hand walkout to plank is a staple in warm ups regardless of your chosen training methods. It warms up the hips and legs and upper body to get you ready to train.

Cues:

  • Keep the knees straight as you reach towards the floor
  • Take small steps with the hands to warm the wrists more effectively
  • Keep the knees straight and walk the hands as close back to the feet as you are able before standing
  • Lock the elbows tightly and protract the shoulders with effort in the plank position

Mistakes:

  • Squatting down to start the movement
  • Taking large steps with the hands
  • Performing a saggy plank position
