The hand walkout to plank is a staple in warm ups regardless of your chosen training methods. It warms up the hips and legs and upper body to get you ready to train.
Cues:
- Keep the knees straight as you reach towards the floor
- Take small steps with the hands to warm the wrists more effectively
- Keep the knees straight and walk the hands as close back to the feet as you are able before standing
- Lock the elbows tightly and protract the shoulders with effort in the plank position
Mistakes:
- Squatting down to start the movement
- Taking large steps with the hands
- Performing a saggy plank position
