Pistol Squat

Cues:

  • Lift one leg and lock the knee and point the toe
  • Secure balance then lower under control into bottom of squat on one leg
  • Keep non-squatting leg rigid as you stand
  • Reaching forward with arms will help with balance

Mistakes:

  • Bending non-squatting leg
  • Allowing non-squatting leg to touch the ground
  • Bouncing to compensate for a lack of strength in the squatting motion
