Ring Row

Cues:

  • Adjust rings so your pulling angle is perpendicular to the strap angle
  • Squeeze the scaps together first and then pull the rings deep to the armpits
  • Work with the mentality that you can always get a little bit more scap retraction
  • Use an angle that allows for a full depth rows
  • Keep the ribs down with strong abs and extend through the upper back

Mistakes:

  • Pulling at inconsistent angles
  • Pulling arms first without scap activation
  • Using too difficult of an angle that creates a shortened range of motion
  • Arching the back excessively/allowing the ribs to flare open with the pull
